Hollywood to Broadway

These days, John Gabriel is busy on a varied group of projects, including his one man stage show and his contribution to The Standards Channel as host of the show "Hollywood To Broadway". The Standards Channel is proud to bring you this first special, which focuses on the music of Jules Styne and Sammy Cahn, performed by a galaxy of great musical stars. Pulling the music together with anecdotes and memories is John Gabriel, an actor who's made his mark on stage in many musical productions.

John Gabriel's new internet show, "Hollywood To Broadway" will debut on "TheStandardsChannel.com" the weekend of July 4th, 2012. The show is about the composers and lyricists who created what is known as "The Great American Songbook". George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Rodgers and Hart, are just a few of our featured musical greats. You'll hear little know stories and anecdotes about these brilliant writers and of course John will play recordings of their songs. Musical legends such as Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Ella Fitsgerald, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee and many more recording greats will be well represented. Look for "Hollywood To Broadway", debuting July 4 on TheStandardsChannel.com.
